Spring Break!

My brother Mike and I came up to Utah to see Britney and Seth and our very dear friends (more like family) Bob and Merrilee and Jack and Janey. We have had a wonderful time and I am very sad that we have to start back home tomorrow.

Britney and Seth are expecting their first child, a girl that I 99.9% think they are naming London, our first grandchild!!! I miss being around Britney to see her belly grow and experience first hand her pregnancy. The next time I will see her is when she is about to give birth. This makes me very sad. I want to see each stage for myself...not in an occational picture sent on the cell phone.

Not only do I want to be around Britney...I want to be closer to my sisters! (biological and adopted!) Glen just doesn't understand the need for sisters to be close to each other. I guess I shouldn't complain because it gives me places to go when I have a break from work. I love taking trips and going places. Especially when I can see family and friends. I wish I could be around them all the time.

Don't get me wrong...I am very happy that I am close to our sons, mom and dad, my brothers and my nephews. And I enjoy the times we spend together...I am having a hard time dealing with the Arizona summers and I would love to be able to get out of it.

But for now...I will just have to be happy coming up when ever I can. I only wish I had more time to spend. When I get up here I just don't want to go back so quickly!

Well, I guess I have complained enough...I have had a wonderful visit and look forward to the next.

Where has the summer gone?

I really don't remeber the summers going so fast when I was youth! I can remember lazily watching the clouds go by or climbing the hill behind our house or my grandparents house and being ever so happy that school was out! And not worrying about when school would start again because it was three months away!!!!! Now...as i am in my...later years :) I wish I could lazily watch the clouds go by or climb the hill behind our house ( I don't think I could an ant hill) yet I am ever so happy when school is out!!!!! Now when school is out and I get only three weeks off...it is a race to see what I can fit in, who can I go see and places to visit. By the end of my "summer vacation" I am exhausted! Needing a vacation from my vacation. :)

BUT...because I get a little time off in the summer....I was able to participate in a wonderful event in Kanab Utah...it was a get together with family and friends and we have decided to have an annual get together. May I dare say that the Johnson family is going to have a....reunion? YES!!!! We are going to have a Kent & Deene Johnson Family Reunion! Yipee!!!!!!! WE have chosen Kanab Utah as our meeting place because that is the home of the two-sided parade and who can have a 4th of July Parade without 2 sides? Yes...4th of July weekend will be the official time of year that our family gets together. We celebrate the birth of our nation and the birth of our precious Sage.

Because this years get together was not officially called a reunion....I will not post pictures of our reunion but rather of our get together. Hope you enjoy:)
